WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2019 OPENING

Since 1955 the World Press Photo Contest
 recognizes professional photographers
for the best pictures contributing to visual journalism.
And through the words of WPP exhibition manager and curator,
Sanne Schim van der Loeff,
this year once more the World Press Photo Awards remind us
that there is not just one truth, and often pictures can proof it.
This year, for the 62nd edition, the independent jury in Amsterdam overviewed 78,801 images
by 4,738 photographers from 129 Countries.
