Brigitte Waldach Drawings


“Brigitte Waldach has a consummate talent for drawing. She draws with pencil, she draws with thread, sounds, with spatial coordinates. Her drawing could be regarded as the emphatic pursuit of traces in space.

Brigitte Waldach, born in Berlin in 1966, first studied German literature and then fine arts at the Berlin University of the Arts with Georg Baselitz, whose master student she became. Her works are in numerous public collections such as the Albertina in Vienna, the Museum Kunstpalast in Dusseldorf, the Aros Kunstmuseum in Arhus, the Kunstmuseum Stavanger, the Kupferstichkabinett Berlin, the Berlinische Galerie, the Altana Kulturstiftung, Bad Homburg as well as in many national and international private collections. 

Opening at the Fondazione Sozzani Bookshop on Sunday November 28th at 4pm.
