1990, SEPTEMBER: CARLA SOZZANI, FORMER FASHION EDITOR AND PUBLISHER, OPENS GALLERIA CARLA SOZZANI FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, ART AND DESIGN IN A CONVERTED GARAGE N° 10 OF CORSO COMO IN MILANO. SINCE THE OPENING,OVER 250 EXHIBITIONS HAVE OFFERED AN INTENSE VARIETY OF CULTURES AND GENRES IN THE WORLDS OF CONTEMPORARY CULTURE. THE GALLERY HAS ITS OWN PUBLISHING COMPANY ALSO DEDICATED TO ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, FASHION AND DESIGN. THE SAME YEAR THE GALLERIA CARLA SOZZANI IS GRADUALLY JOINED BY A GARDEN CAFÈ AND A BOOKSHOP. A YEAR LATER, IN 1991, SEPTEMBER: 10 CORSO COMO OPENS ITS DOORS. NAMED AFTER THE STREET ADDRESS, THE INDUSTRIAL BUILDING IS DESIGNED BY AMERICAN ARTIST KRIS RUHS, WHO ALSO CREATES THE BLACK AND WHITE LOGO THAT WILL BECOME AN ICON OF GLOBAL STYLE. 10 CORSO COMO IS A COLLAGE OF CULTURAL AND COMMERCIAL ENTITIES FROM FASHION TO DESIGN, INCLUDING MUSIC, LIFESTYLE, ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY AND IT MARKS THE BEGINNING OF TOTAL SHOPPING. A RADICAL NEW UNION OF CULTURE AND COMMERCE, 10 CORSO COMO PROMOTES SLOW SHOPPING THROUGH A SUCCESSION OF SPACES AND EVENTS THAT REFLECT LIFESTYLE OVER OBJECT ACQUISITION. 1996 THE GALLERY SHOP APENS NEXT TO THE GALLERY, DEDICATED TO CULTURAL AND COMMERCIAL EVENTS AND PROJECTS
1998: 10 CORSO COMO CAFÈ OPENS. IT IS DESIGNED TO CREATE MOVEMENT FROM WITHIN TO THE GARDENS OUTSIDE. HIDDEN IN THE HEART OF 10 CORSO COMO QUIET COURTYARD, BEHIND A DISCREET FAÇADE OF GATES AND GARDENS, THE GARDEN CAFÉ IS SURROUNDED BY A CONSERVATORY OF LUSH PERENNIAL PLANTS AND SEASONAL FLOWERS. WHEN NOT SHOPPING OR VISITING 10 CORSO COMO VARIOUS SHOWCASES, ONE CAN STOP TO EAT IN THE CAFÉ RESTAURANT AND BAR. DESIGNED TO FLOW BETWEEN THE INSIDE AND THE SEASONAL GARDEN OUTSIDE, THE CAFÉ OFFERS ANOTHER AESTHETIC ALTOGETHER.

2002: 10 CORSO COMO – COMME DES GARÇONS OPENS IN TOKYO. THIS COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE PHILOSOPHIES OF REI KAWAKUBO AND CARLA SOZZANI ANTICIPATES THE ADVENT OF GLOBAL CO-BRANDING PROJECTS.
2003: 10 CORSO COMO 3 ROOMS HOTEL OPENS. “A HOME AWAY FROM HOME” THAT LOOKS OUT ONTO THE 10 CORSO COMO GARDENS BELOW. THIS IS AN INTIMATE HOTEL THAT OFFERS TO A WEARY TRAVELLER A PERSONAL HOSPITALITY.
THE THREE SUITES, ALL WITH FULL SERVICE AMENITIES AND EACH REACHED BY A PRIVATE ENTRANCE, ARE FURNISHED IN HOMAGE TO THE VISION OF MANY MID-20TH AND 21ST CENTURY DESIGNERS AND ARCHITECTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

2008: 10 CORSO COMO JOINS WITH SAMSUNG CHEIL, SAMSUNG GROUP, TO BRING THE 10 CORSO COMO CONCEPT TO THE CAPITAL CITY OF SEOUL AT CHEONGDAM,A DISTRICT SOUTH OF THE HAN RIVER. HOUSED ON THREE FLOORS. SINCE ITS OPENING, THE 10 CORSO COMO FLAGSHIP STORE IN SEOUL HAS GROWN TO BECOME AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED HUB OF STYLE AND CULTURE.

2010: 10 CORSO COMO HAS GROWN TO INCLUDE A NEW FLOWERING TERRACE ROOF GARDEN. A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF NATURE AND ART, THE TERRACE HOSTS WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURES AND CERAMICS BY KRIS RUHS: AN ARTIST OPEN HOME ONLY TO EXHIBITIONS AND PRIVATE EVENTS. THAT JOINS THE COURTYARD AND GARDENS BELOW.
THIS URBAN OASIS IS RECOGNISED BY LIPU (ITALIAN UNION FOR BIRDS PROTECTION) AS A SANCTUARY FOR MANY BIRDS BOTH SEDENTARY AND IN MIGRATION.
2011, SEPTEMBER: 10 CORSO COMO CELEBRATES ITS 20 YEARS ANNIVERSARY. IN TWO DECADES, 10 CORSO COMO HAS GROWN INTO A GLOBAL BRAND OF DISTINCTION WITH PRODUCTS AS DIVERSE AS FASHION, LIFESTYLE, DESIGN, OBJECTS AND CUISINE CARRYING THE 10 CORSO COMO LABEL.
