«Riding a motorbike has nothing to do with speed.
It is an intense experience of psychic and physical freedom
». John Berger

The correspondance between drawing and riding a bike, the importance of looking beyond the obstacles,
the erotic love for the road and, of course, the strong relation between body and mind,
were just few of the concepts that Maria Nadotti,
curator of the book and Italian translator of John Berger since decades,
was able to explain with clear words.
Life, speed and amusing turtles in the conversation with true bikers
and journalists Benedetta Marietti and Michele Lupi while presenting the book

Sulla Motocicletta by John Berger
published by Neri Pozza yesterday evening
at Fondazione Sozzani.

Black and white: two colors forbidden to be in close proximity, yet captured so beautifully
a single black and white frame. The importance of this photo transcends time
and location, leaving it to become not only a symbolic piece of art, but a piece of history.
