The blue of the sky in Paris this week is particularly intense. It is Spring here and the fashion collections seems to be capturing the deep blue of the
sky and a wave of optimism.

Futuristic domes and a beautiful futuristic collection, Ghesquière again
embraces the future.

Walking out of the futuristic installation of the Vuitton show, right there, only a few meters away, the most poetic of contrasts: these elegant deer enjoying
a beautiful sunny day.

SAINT LAURENT2

Techno can be poetic: At the Saint Laurent fashion show the mind is inspired to envision wonderful landscapes through a “voyage” in technology, while the floor lifted and fluorescent lights filled the stage.

On Sunday the show by Azzedine Alaia was another memorable moment. Always true to his inner movements. As a friend, I sometimes wonder how to be objective,
but there is never a wrong step here. I couldn’t agree more with the article on
Le Figaro saying Azzedine Alaia is the soul of Paris fashion
“l’âme même de la mode parisienne”.

I LOVE

Exquisite patterns as seen in Alaia’s atelier.

Piero Fornasetti

The new exhibition “La Folie pratique” at Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris is another magnificent homage to the works of Piero Fornasetti and the creativity of his son Barnaba. Every time is like seeing the work for the first time, always surprising.

MARIN MARAIS

A beautiful gift – “pièces de viole” by Marin Marais. This is music I look forward to discover. French composer and viol player Marin Marais was hired as a musician at Versailles. He was an important composer in the court of Louis XIV and the music was used in a movie about his later life. Tous les Matins du Monde was made in 1991 with Gérard Depardieu in the title role as the aging Marais and this music sets the mood.
