Book of the Week

Where will we meet next

by Stephen Gan and Tobias Schweitzer

Traveling is about departure and loss. There is no anchor. You are free. In this book you allow strangers to share your happiness captured on paper…”

Karl Lagerfeld

When you are the founder of Visionaire, it will naturally follow that a long distance relationship will have all the elegance, surprises and beauty of your artistic vision.

From their first encounter near Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, to a picture-perfect moment in front of a Reykjavik midnight dawn, Gan and Schweitzer created a collection of photographic meetings that span one year and the entire globe. Dictated by their vastly different careers, Schweitzer is a cutting edge landscape designer, they embraced the distance between them to discover other landscapes, both personal and physical, that were far greater than either traveler would have known on his own. Theirs was a deep quest in our wired age to see and share beauty in the brief moment we are given on earth.  Beyond the visual journey, letters passing between them from some of the farthest corners of the world still speak to the timelessness of beauty and love.
